The search is officially done with Vipers Sports Club welcoming and unveiling two Brazilian coaches Roberto Luiz Bianchi Pelliser christened as Beto Bianchi as the new head coach and Roberto Martinez as assistant.
The two were unveiled Tuesday afternoon at the club’s home in Kitende following the departure of Roberto Oliviera, who had lead the club to Supeer League and CAF Champions league successes.
Former coach Robertinho, also a Brazilian left for Simba late December after guiding the Venoms to the league title and the group stages of the Caf Champions League.
During the coaches’ unveiling ceremony, Mr. Richard Wasswa was also appointed as the second deputy and Ibrahim Mugisha as the goalkeeping coach.
The new coach, Bianchi has previously been at Ciudad de Murcia B between 2004-2007, Atlético Ciudad (2007-2009) and at Zamora between 2009-2010.
He also coached at Lorca Deportiva (2011), Batavia Union (2012-2013), Pro Duta (2013–2014), RRFC (2014–2015), Kazma (2020-21) and at GD Interclube in 2021.
Notably though, the experienced tactician worked with African gaints Petro du Luanda between 2016-2019 and the Angolan national team in 2017.
Bianchi is a UEFA A Pro license holder and he is first tasked with job to lead the Venoms from the CAF Champions’ League group stages to the knockout stages.
Bianchi a Spanish Brazilian joins the Venoms on a two years contract.
He vows to help Vipers SC defend their Uganda Premier league title as they sit third on the log behind BUL FC in second and KCCA FC who sit top.
Bianchi is tasked to help Vipers compete in the CAF champions League as they target to make it out of the group stages where they will feature for the first time.
