Uganda Named Best Investment destination in The East Africa Awards

The Government of Uganda has been recognized and awarded as the best investment destination in East Africa at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) 2023 in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and Rwanda became the runners up.

According to Uganda’s Embassy in the United Arab Emirates the Ugandan delegation is attending the meeting that ends tomorrow May 10th 2023, under the theme “ The Investment Paradigm Shift: Future Investment Opportunities to Foster Sustainable Economic Growth, Diversity, and Prosperity”.

The Uganda delegation is led by Ambassador Zaake Kibedi and included Uganda Investment Authority, Uganda Export Promotions Board, Uganda Free Zone Authority and Uganda Wildlife Authority who are participating in the 12th Edition of the Annual Investment Meeting to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), technology transfer, and promote the country’s exports and tourism.

The meeting attracted decision-makers, investors, experts, and academic figures from all over the world, who gathered to discuss the shift in the Global investment landscape which is an International Investment Platform.

The Annual Investment Meeting is a leading platform for investors in the world and over 170 countries are taking part in this global investment meeting and exhibition where the Embassy has set up a pavilion.

It is an initiative of the AIM Foundation, an independent international organization fully committed to empowering the world’s economy by boosting effective promotion strategies and facilitating opportunities for economic productivity and expansion.
