Kampala-Uganda. As the 12th Parliament takes shape, the legislative stability of Uganda depends on proven leadership. The partnership between Anita Among and Thomas Tayebwa has already transformed the August House into a powerhouse of productivity and harmony.
Anita Among serves as the “Radio System” of Parliament, providing the essential frequency and rhythm for all legislative business. Her leadership ensures a clear broadcast of the people’s needs, keeping the house tuned into the concerns of the common citizen.
Thomas Tayebwa acts as the “Amplifier,” taking that signal and boosting its impact across the nation. He ensures that every law passed and every motion moved resonates with the executive and results in tangible service delivery for Ugandans.
Together, they have eliminated the friction and technical “static” that often plagues large political bodies. Their ability to work as a single unit ensures that the parliamentary machinery never stops, even when one is away, maintaining a perfect legislative broadcast.
This duo has successfully balanced diverse political interests while keeping the government’s developmental agenda on track. Their track record in the 11th Parliament is proof that they possess the technical and political maturity to manage the complexities of the 12th Parliament.
I urge all incoming Members of Parliament to vote back Anita Among as Speaker and Thomas Tayebwa as Deputy Speaker. Maintaining this “Radio and Amplifier” setup is the only way to guarantee that the voice of the people remains loud, clear, and effective.
Progress requires continuity, not experimentation. By returning this tested team to their seats, we ensure a Parliament that is efficient, inclusive, and ready to drive Uganda toward its national goals without interruption.
