Businessman Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, under his conglomerate Ruparelia Group, has announced that Speke Resort Convention Center will commence operations on 10th January, 2024. The facility will host two important global summits back-to-back shortly after it’s opening.
The two summits, the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM)—a gathering of 120 countries seeking nonalignment with the world’s superpowers, will run from January 15 to 19, while the G77+China summit is slated for January 21-23.
Speaking to this website, Dr Sudhir, Uganda’s revered businessman confirmed that the Convention center will be launched on January 10, 2024.
His revelation puts to rest speculation peddled by pessimistic political actors questioning the readiness of the venue of the two global events.
