Date:

Businessman Dr Sudhir Ruparelia, under his conglomerate Ruparelia Group, has announced that Speke Resort Convention Center will commence operations on 10th January, 2024. The facility will host two important global summits back-to-back shortly after it’s opening.

The two summits, the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM)—a gathering of 120 countries seeking nonalignment with the world’s superpowers, will run from January 15 to 19, while the G77+China summit is slated for January 21-23.

Speaking to this website, Dr Sudhir, Uganda’s revered businessman confirmed that the Convention center will be launched on January 10, 2024.

His revelation puts to rest speculation peddled by pessimistic political actors questioning the readiness of the venue of the two global events.

As the countdown begins, Ugandans are gearing up for this momentous event that promises to redefine world-class hospitality and event facilities.

With the final touches going on, those who have got a chance to tour the facility describe it as a testament to architectural brilliance and luxury.

“The opening of the 4000-seater convention center, ushers in a new era for conferences, events, and gatherings, offering a state-of-the-art venue against the backdrop of the breathtaking Munyonyo landscape on the shores of Lake Victoria.”
