Police Task team into the Karamoja Iron Sheets Scandal has almost finalized its scope of investigations.
According to police, as witnessed, last week some of the case files are 100% complete, like the one of the Hon. Agnes Nandutu and ready for full trial.
“We would like to inform the public that the task team actively investigating the alleged theft and diversion of iron sheets meant for the Karamoja reformed warriors, has almost finalised its scope of investigations. Several casefiles were submitted with our findings to the office of the DPP.”
The task teams have plans to interview a few remaining witnesses and also fast track a few leads which are significant in the remaining inquiries.
“We are now waiting for the DPP to evaluate the case files and come up with appropriate conclusions, that will guide our next course of action.”
