The accident that involved motor vehicle registration number UBN 376C, a TX Prado, was being driven by a one Warrant Officer 1 Mathias Ssefoloza, 51 who was attached to Olillim Training School, the Namutumba Police Station traffic officer confirmed in a statement.
Statement on Namutumba Fatal accident;
The traffic police at Namutumba Police station yesterday the 29th.March, 2023, at around 1500/C registered a fatal accident at Mazuba Village along the Mbale-Iganga highway in Namutumba district which claimed life of a UPDF officer.
The accident involved motor vehicle registration number UBN 376C, a TX Prado, that was being driven by a one Warrant Officer 1 Mathias Ssefoloza a 51 year old attached to Olillim Training School, who lost control of his vehicle and knocked motor vehicle reg no UAF 265F crane which had parked off road, killing Major Aceta Alex, a UPDF officer also attached to Olillim Training School on spot. Major Aceta Alex was a passenger in the Prado.
The prado was from Iganga heading to Mbale side.
Two people sustained injuries and were all rushed to Iganga Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
