Ugandan lawyer Patrick Joshua Okello has dragged exiled music promoter Suudiman Lukwago to the Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly spreading false information about President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and General Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s involvement in the death of Kenyan politician Raila Odinga.
According to Okello, Suudiman’s claims are malicious and intended to incite hatred between Kenyans and Ugandans. The case, filed through ECCMIS on October 22, 2025, with criminal offense No.NAK-00-CR-CO-0574-2025, is pending a hearing.
This isn’t Okello’s first time taking on high-profile cases. He’s previously challenged sanctions imposed by the UK and France against Uganda’s Speaker of Parliament, Annet Anita Among, arguing they were politically motivated and violated Uganda’s sovereignty.
Okello’s determination to defend Uganda’s leaders and sovereignty has earned him both praise and criticism. His latest move against Suudiman underscores his commitment to protecting Uganda’s interests and holding accountable those spreading false information.
