Double Q, the official distributor of Sinotruk vehicles in Uganda, has unveiled a comprehensive lineup of HOWO box body trucks aimed at strengthening the country’s growing cargo transportation and logistics industry.

The launch, held during a colorful event in Jinja, introduced trucks ranging from 4 tons to 28 tons under a campaign dubbed “Move More, Earn More.”

Speaking at the event, Richard Musani, Head of Marketing at Double Q, said the unveiling represented more than just the introduction of new vehicles, describing it as a commitment to supporting businesses and transport operators across Uganda.

“Today, we are not just introducing trucks; we are unveiling a promise we have consistently delivered over time. Through the ‘Move More, Earn More’ campaign, we aim to empower businesses that drive this nation forward,” Musani said.

According to Musani, the newly launched HOWO range has been specifically engineered to address the varying cargo transportation challenges within Uganda’s logistics sector.

Among the models showcased was the HOWO M2 4-ton 4×2 truck, designed for agile urban deliveries and last-mile distribution services. The company also highlighted the 10-ton HOWO M7 4×2 as an ideal solution for regional cargo transportation between major towns and cities including Kampala, Mbarara, Kabale, and Jinja.

The lineup further includes a 15-ton 4×2 truck tailored for medium-duty operations, a 20-ton 6×2 model suitable for bulk cargo transportation, and a 25-ton 6×4 truck built for heavy-duty haulage.

At the top end of the range is the 28-ton 10×4 truck, equipped with an additional lifting axle designed to maximize payload capacity while reducing road wear. Company officials said the model is particularly suited for long-distance and cross-border transport routes such as Mombasa to Kampala and Dar es Salaam to Kampala.

Industry players attending the launch welcomed the development, noting that Uganda’s expanding trade volumes and regional integration efforts continue to increase demand for reliable and efficient cargo transportation solutions.

The unveiling comes at a time when Uganda’s logistics and transport sector is experiencing rapid growth driven by urbanization, construction, regional trade, and increasing movement of goods across East Africa.
