The First Lady Janet Museveni is happy that Ruparelia Group, a conglomerate owned by businessman Sudhir Ruparelia has been able to deliver a praiseworthy Convention Centre for the ongoing Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China Heads of State and Government Summits.
“I recently visited the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo to inspect the facilities for the upcoming Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China Heads of State and Government Summits,” the First Lady said in a brief appreciation statement published on her social media pages.
“I would like to express my appreciation to the Ruparelia Group for their commendable work in preparing the Convention Centre for these Summits. Their attention to detail and level of preparedness is truly praiseworthy,” she added.
“However, I want to emphasize the importance of maintaining these high standards. It is crucial to conduct continuous checks on all amenities, ensuring they remain in excellent working condition not only during the Summits but also in the future,” she further added.
She explained that “This visit reaffirmed our commitment to hosting successful international events, showcasing the best of what Uganda has to offer, and ensuring that every guest experiences the warmth and hospitality for which our nation is known.”
The 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is being held under the theme “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence.”
Over 1700 delegates including heads of state are in the country to attend the two Summits being hosted at the prestigious Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo
